Please join us during our week of open studio puppet making madness at the Brew House. The goal is to have a good time building a variety of different puppets, mostly out of recyclables, which we will show off in the street to kick off Friday night's puppet show marathon. Philadelphia cardboard constructionist and puppet enthusiast Beth Nixon will be on hand to provide instruction and inspiration to anyone who comes, or she will get out of your way as you go hog wild building the puppet of your dreams. All ages are welcome, kids must come with an adult (or responsible teenager). All tools and materials will be provided, no experience necessary! Come once or every night, stop by to check it out or stay for three hours. Work on your own piece or join in the group efforts. The puppets you make are yours to take home after the Friday night spectacle. (Maybe this is a brilliant opportunity to create your Halloween costume?!!) Learn how to make: masks, giant pole puppets, hand puppets, multiple person puppets, dragon style puppets... Bring a friend to collaborate with or meet new ones at the workshop. 4 Nights Only!!!
